Dismissed that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 2 months and the investigation of the case having been concluded, further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Learned advocate for the State has relied upon the statement of one Parvin Khatun. It has also been brought to the notice of this Court that the evidence of the case is in progress, examination-in-chief of two witnesses have been completed and the defence intends to conduct his cross-examination after examination-in-chief of some of the witnesses are completed. Having considered the materials available against the present petitioner, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail until and unless the evidence of Parvin Khatun is over.

Consequently, CRM (M)984 of 2025 is dismissed at this stage.
