Mr. Dinendranath Chatterjee Mr. Partha Sengupta Mr. Biswaroop Sengupta ..for the petitioner Ms. Tanushree Dasgupta Ms. Paroma Sengupta ..for KMC The petitioner challenges a notice dated June 18, 2024 whereby the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has issued a demolition notice in respect of premises no.4, Gagan Sarkar Lane, Ward no.34, Borough-III. The petitioner submits that he is a resident of B/4A/H/5, Gagan Sarkar Road, Kolkata-700010, but the Corporation has affixed the said notice on his building.

The petitioner apprehends that following the demolition notice dated June 18, 2024, his premises will be demolished.

The Corporation clarifies that the demolition work will be carried out only in respect of premises no.4, Gagan Sarkar Lane, Ward no.34 under Borough-

III and the address where the petitioner claims to reside, is outside the scope of the said demolition notice.

In that view of the matter, nothing remains to be decided in this writ petition.

With the aforesaid clarification of the Corporation, WPA 16132 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
