The revisional application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of the proceedings in connection with G.R. Case No. 3040 of 2011 arising out of Sonarpur P.S. Case No. 656 of dated September 3, under Sections 465/471/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code corresponding to T.R. Case No. 279 of 2012, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur, South 24 Parganas.

It appears that the G.R. Case relates to a case registered in the year 2011 and is pending till date.

As the revisional application is being disposed of, Mr. Bitasok Banerjee, an empanelled lawyer of the State of West Bengal, present in Court being led by the learned Public Prosecutor, is appointed to represent the State in this case. Let his appointment be regularized by the appropriate authority. 4.

It appears that in February, 2025 the matter was fixed for evidence of charge-sheeted witness nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4. 5.

Considering the delay in the said trial, the revisional application is disposed of with the direction that the trial Court shall make all endeavour to dispose of the proceedings expeditiously preferably within a year from the date of communication of this order.
