The present application for cancellation of bail was filed in connection with New Alipore Police Station Case No. 17 of 2006 dated 22.02.2007.

Record reflects that bail was granted by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, In Charge, Alipore on 05.06.2007. Ms. Manisha Sharma, learned advocate who ordinarily appears for the State is directed to appear in this matter. Her appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities in due course.

Having regard to the nature of the offence as well as the period of time which has elapsed in the meantime, I am of the opinion that no interference is called for at this belated stage Accordingly, the present application for cancellation of bail being CRM 6457 of 2007 is dismissed.
