Filing this application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioner praying for quashing of the First Information Report and proceeding in connection with Basanti Police Station Case No. 56 of 2017 dated 02.02.2017 under Section 363/366 of the Indian Penal Code, vide B.G.R. No. 629 of 2017 (State Vs. Somnath Pramanik @ Babu Sona) now pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, South 24 Parganas.

This case is pending since 2021. In spite of long pendency, none appears on behalf of the petitioners at the time of call. No accommodation is sought for. Even on the earlier occasion, none appears on behalf the petitioner and no accommodation sought for.

In the above circumstances, it appears that the petitioners are no more interested to pursue the instant case.

Accordingly, CRR 2048 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed for default.

Interim orders, if any, shall stand vacated.

6.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned Trial Court for information.
