The grievance of the petitioner is that the complaint lodged by the petitioner before the Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad on June 19, 2024 has not been acted upon.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents relies upon the report filed by the Officerin-Charge, Raninagar Police Station dated June 24, 2024 which mentions that the 2nd Officer of the Raninagar Police Station visited the residence of the petitioner in connection with the enquiry in response to a complaint lodged against the petitioner by one Nazma Bibi.

Nazma alleged that the petitioner along with four others from Sekh Para, Police Station-Raninagar,

District-Murshidabad forcefully occupied the disputed land.

The complainant alleged that she was threatened with dire consequences. The complaint has been diarized vide Raninagar Police Station GDE No. 853 of June 17, 2024.

On enquiry the police found that the petitioner indeed threatened the complainant and occupied the disputed land for a long time. After enquiry the police filed prosecution vide Raninagar PS NCR No. 1205/ 2024 dated June 17, 2024.

The report of the police has been handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner in Court today. It will be open for the petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with law for redressal of his grievances.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
