Petitioner is aggrieved as the police authorities were not taking any steps in connection with Daspur Police Station Case No.329 of 2024 dated 26.06.2024.

Report submitted by the police authorities reflects that charge-sheet no.625 of 2024 dated 30.10.2024 has been submitted against the accused persons. Police report categorically reflects the following:

"During the investigation, investigating officer made every effort to find out the complainant‟s kidnapped wife Pratima Adhikari from the clutch of Mihir Manna and the investigation officer immediately able to trace out the paternal address of Pratima Adhikary at Village Kenduata under PS-

Panskura, Dist.

Purba Medinipur and contacted with the father named Ajit Das and came to know from him that, Paresh Adhikari was married his daughter Pratima Adhikari in the year 2017 and since then, due to physical and mental torture her daughter was not willing to live with her husband and Pratima Adhikari moved to her paternal house in the year 2021 and on 17.07.2021, the marriage of both of them was dissolved through „village arbitration/shalishi‟ (enclosed handwriting copy as Annexure-A in the presence of village dignitaries which was accepted and signed by Paresh Adhikari and Pratima Adhikari, investigation officer also learned from Ajit Das (Father of Victim Lady Pratima Adhikary) that married of his daughter Pratima Adhikari was conducted with Sanat Malik of Village - Haripur under Khanakul PS in Hooghly district and now Pratima has two children and it is known that Paresh Adhikari was also married before made this complaint."

In view of the findings of the police authorities in the report, I am of the opinion that the

present writ petition has lost its force and, as such, do not call for any interference.

Accordingly, WPA 16224 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
