Verification report dated 11.08.2022 submitted by Mr. Prasun Kumar Datta, learned advocate appearing for the State be kept on record.

It appears from the said report that a communication was received from the Electoral Registration Officer of Assembly Constituency-13 (Rohini) which reflects that the Voter Identity Card vide EPIC No. AFQ2217693 in the name of Sunder Mandal has been deleted from the Electoral Roll due to shifting. Accordingly, no final opinion can be reached regarding the citizenship of the present petitioner. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Learned trial court is directed to expedite the progress of the trial.

The application for bail, being CRM (SB) 169 of 2022, is, thus, dismissed.

The Investigating Officer of the case is present in Court. His further appearance before this Court is dispensed with.
