The petitioner, an adopted son, claims for family pension on the death of his father.

I direct the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), Paschim Medinipur to give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. The DI shall have liberty to call any other authority, including the school, in the said hearing. The proceeding before the DI is to be concluded by four weeks from the date of first date of hearing. A reasoned and speaking order is to be passed by the DI by two weeks after conclusion of the hearing and the order is to be communicated to the petitioner immediately after passing the order.

With the above observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of.

The petitioner is directed to communicate a copy of this order to the DI.
