The petitioner submits that it is a case of conversion from contributory provident fund to general provident fund. If that be so, the following order is passed: - This matter relates to arrear pension for conversion of the petitioner's contributory provident fund to general provident fund. The due amount for such conversion is to be paid to the petitioner from the date of his retirement and not from the date of refund of the money. Such amount should be paid within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The petitioner does not pray for any interest on the arrear pension and, therefore, it is not required to be paid.

With this observation and direction the writ petition is disposed of.
