Commercial quantity of contraband (147 bottles of phensedyl) was recovered from the premises of the petitioner. In view of the restrictions in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, the petitioner says that he is in custody for about one year. The trial has still not concluded. The State tells us that 6 out of 14 witnesses have already been examined. All efforts will be made to conclude the trial at an early date.

We request the learned trial Court to expedite the trial as much as possible and conclude the same as early as possible.

The application for bail being CRM (NDPS) 1007 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.
