1. The petitioners are contesting candidates in the forthcoming Panchayat Election. They claim that they have received lot of threats from various quarters against participating in election process.

2. The petitioners have already complained to the Baduria Police Station.

3. This Court directs the petitioners to give a detailed complaint to the Baduria Police Station as regards the threat received by them.

4. The O. C., Baduria Police Station shall take appropriate decision on the threat perception of the petitioners and take steps in that regard within 72 hours.

5. Since the petitioners apprehend that the opponents may lodge complaints against the petitioners and their associates to prevent them to participating in the election process, no coercive measures shall be taken against the petitioners and their associates in

respect of any FIR that may be registered until 15th July, 2023.

6. The writ petition is disposed of.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
