Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved 20.03.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.51 Rakib by the manner in which the investigation was progressing in connection with Sonarpur Police Station case no.693/24 dated 19.05.2024.

Mr. Ahmed, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the investigation of the case is still in progress.

Having regard to the fact that more than 10 months have passed since the initiation of the investigation, police authorities would expedite the process and take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

In course of investigation, if the police authorities are of opinion that the complicity or the custodial detention of any person is involved, police authorities would adhere to the provisions of law in giving effect to such steps being taken in respect of an individual. With the aforesaid observations WPA 16258 of 2024 is disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
