1. It appears from the submissions made on behalf of both the parties that the vehicle of the petitioner which was seized by the authority in the year 2021 has since been released. The authority, however, has not released the alleged due amount to the petitioner.

2. A representation made by the petitioner is pending consideration before the Chief General Manager.

3. The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chief General Manager, being the respondent no.5, to take into consideration the representation made by the petitioner dated 18th April, 2024 annexed at page 69 of the writ petition in

accordance with law after giving the petitioner or his authorized representative a reasonable opportunity of hearing and by passing a reasoned order.

4. If any amount is found due and payable to the petitioner, the same shall be released without any delay.

5. If the authority rejects the claim of the petitioner, the reason for rejection shall be disclosed in the reasoned order.

6. Steps shall be taken by the aforesaid respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order along with a copy of the aforesaid representation with all supporting documents.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously after complying with all requisite formalities. ( Amrita Sinha, J. )
