1. Mr. Milon Mukherjee, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the instant case. It is further submitted that her husband committed suicide by hanging and initial reaction of the family members of the deceased would show that they have not any doubt about the involvement of the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence. It was only in the FIR, the name of the petitioner surfaced.

The learned Counsel for the State, in opposing the prayer for anticipatory bail, has referred to the postmortem report and evidences of at least six witnesses to implicate the petitioner for the commission of the alleged offence. Reference is also made to the tower location of the petitioner at the relevant time.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and the statement of the neighbours implicating the petitioner, we are of the view that it is not a fit case for anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. 5.

CRM (A) 2160 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.
