Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted bail by the learned Sessions Judge, Nadia in Criminal Misc. Case No.2630 of 2020 and was appearing before the learned Court since then. On 28th August, 2023, the petitioner failed to appear before the learned Sessions Judge and no accommodation was sought on his behalf. Warrant of arrest was issued against him on the said date.

The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Trial Court within a fortnight from date. In view of the above, the revisional application being CRR 2544 of 2024 is disposed of directing the petitioner to surrender before the learned Sessions Judge, Nadia within a fortnight from date. In the event the petitioner surrenders within the said date and applies for bail, the learned Court shall deal with the same, in accordance with law.

The warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner on 28th August, 2023 be stayed till 16th August, 2024. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender within the stipulated time frame, the learned Sessions Judge shall be at liberty to proceed with the matter in accordance with law without further reference to this Court. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
