Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner in course of his official duty as an employee of a subsidiary of a public bank collected a sum in excess of Rs.50 lakhs from members of the public and not deposited such amount in the bank account of such public.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 3442 of 2022 is dismissed.
