sg Mr. Soumik Ganguli Mr. Golam Nur Imrohi Ms. Indrani Roy Ms. Preeti Burman ...for the petitioner The petitioner alleged inaction on the part of the authorities in not communicating the decision on the representation dated 24th April, 2025 submitted by the petitioner before the concerned District Land and Land Reforms Officer.

The sum and substance of the case made out by the petitioner in the representation is that, a lease was granted in favour of the petitioner in respect of a water body measuring about 271.70 acres. However, possession of only 212.08 acres was delivered in favour of the petitioner. In the said representation the petitioner alleged that the authorities have not delivered the possession to the petitioner in respect of the balance area measuring 59.62 acres. Accordingly, the petitioner prayed for handing over possession of the balance portion or to accept the lease rent at a lesser rate. A copy of the lease deed has been annexed to this writ petition wherefrom it appears that the area of the water body which was leased out in favour of the petitioner is only 212.08 acres.

Since it is not in dispute that 212.08 acres was

handed over to the petitioner, the petitioner cannot feel aggrieved as the possession of the portion which was leased out by virtue of a lease deed in favour of the petitioner has been handed over to the petitioner.

With the above observation, this writ petition stands disposed of.
