Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Bitasok Banerjee .....For the State At the inception learned advocate appearing for the petitioners hands over demand draft amounting to Rs.12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve Lakh Only) to Mr. Krishnendu Bhattacharya, learned advocate appearing for the private opposite party.

Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing for the State as earlier directed has been able to produce a report which has been prepared pursuant to the statement of Harpreet Malhotra. The contents of the same reflect that she is not interested to pursue with the litigation as there has been amicable settlement. Report so submitted be kept with the record.

In view of the amount which has been handed over as committed by the petitioners and the statement made by the de facto complainant before the police personnel deputed by the Officer-in-Charge, Baguiati Police Station, I am of the opinion that further continuance of the proceedings are unwarranted.

Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out Baguiati Police Station Case No.374/21 dated 11.06.2021 under Sections 498A / 406 of the Indian Penal Code as also the orders passed therein are hereby quashed. Thus, C.R.R. 2059 of 2021 alongwith the application being, IA No. CRAN 1 of 2022 are allowed.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All parties are directed to act on the server copy of this order downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
