He has agreed to bear expenses therefor. The respondent company by communication dated October 9, 2020, indicated that the expenses would be Rs.

3,08,683/-.

On representation from the petitioner for reduction, the charges came to be reduced to Rs. 2,77,746/-. The petitioner complains that the said charges are still excessive and prohibitive.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the view that the matter may be reconsidered by the WBSEDCL to explore, if any further concession and or relaxation could be made.

A suitable decision may be taken up by the Distribution Company within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of a communication from the Distribution Company, the petitioner shall be at liberty to deposit the said amount for the purpose of shifting of the electric pole and the Distribution Company may thereafter take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this judgment, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities.
