The petitioner, while working as General Duty Medical Officer at Amlat Block Primary Health Centre (BPHC) at Purba Medinipur, had participated in the National Eligibility-CumEntrance Test-PG, 2024 (hereinafter referred to as NEET-PG) to pursue The Diploma DNB (Gynaecology & Obstetrics) and according to all India Rank secured by her in the said test, was allotted Walsh Sub-Division Hospital, Serampore, District-Hooghly.

The Amlat BPHC did not issue the release order to the petitioner immediately, as such, the petitioner could not upload her release order in Online portal for joining and Registration (OPJR) of the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences for registration, as a consequence, she was not allowed to join in her allotted hospital. Mr. Sudipta Dasgupta, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that in the meantime, on July, 17, 2025, such release order was issued w.e.f. June 18, 2025 but due to the suspension

of the operation of the OPJR, the petitioner could not upload it to get the registration, as a result, could not join the said allotted hospital, ultimately, during the pendency of the writ petition, the said portal was re-opened and the petitioner has joined her allotted hospital after uploading the relevant documents in the said designated portal, therefore, the grievance of the petitioner though has been addressed but she is not getting her salary, in spite of communication of the joining report to the concerned authority. The principle grievance of the petitioner has been resolved; since she has reported her joining to the concerned authority, there is no justification in withholding her salary.

The Chief Medical Officer of Health, Purba Medinipur, the respondent no. 9 herein, therefore is directed to take steps for release of the salary of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law.

W.P.A. 15214 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
