The present writ petition was preferred as the information which was submitted to the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Kolkata as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) Kolkata was not responded to.

The said representation was made on June 14, 2024.

The main grievance was that certain seizures have been made which were forged documents and as such specimen signatures was also taken with the permission of the learned ACMM, Calcutta on or about December 26, 2023. However, no report of the expert opinion for verification of the forged signature along with the specimen signature was furnished.

Petitioner was aggrieved, as such, regarding the manner in which the investigation was carried out in connection with Burrabazar PS Case No. 312 dated 28.11.2023.

In case the aforesaid proceedings are still at the stage of investigation, petitioner would file a fresh representation before the Superior Officers as earlier submitted and/or before the learned Court for having knowledge regarding the progress of the investigation. In the alternative, if charge sheet or final report have been submitted, petitioner would ventilate his grievance before the jurisdictional Court. At this belated stage further interference by this Court is unwarranted.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Ms.

Barnali Gupta, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State is directed to represent the State. Her appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 16296 of 2024 is disposed of.
