Mr. Sanjib Kumar Dan, learned advocate appearing for the State submitted a report prepared by the Officer-in-Charge, Jorasanko Police Station. Let the report be kept with the record. The report encloses e-mail of the complainant namely, Lakshman Prasad Agarwal. The e-mail which has been sent and the communication which has been established by the said Lakshman Prasad Agarwal with the Officer-in-Charge, Jorasanko PS is that he do not intend to proceed with the proceedings arising out of Jorasanko P.S. Case No. 257 of 2020 dated 26.09.2020 under Sections 420/406/120B IPC against the accused persons as there has been an amicable settlement between the parties.

Having regard to the nature of the allegations and the sections of the Indian Penal Code so involved along with the report submitted by the Officer-in-Charge, Jorasanko PS, I am of the opinion that the further proceedings of Jorasanko P.S. Case No. 257 of 2020 dated 26.09.2020 corresponding to G. R. Case No. 1241 of 2020 along with the chargesheet submitted therein and pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 15th Court, Calcutta is hereby quashed.

Consequently, CRR 2391 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
