The petitioner complains that his daughter has been kidnapped.

Learned counsel for the State submits that immediately upon receiving the petitioner's complaint, the Sonarpur Police has swung into action and has conducted various raids to trace out the victim girl. Raids have also been conducted at Andhra Pradesh. Sonarpur Police has also sought the assistance of the Anti-human Trafficking Unit, CID, West Bengal. Learned counsel for the State has produced a report dated 28th July 2022 issued by the Inspectorin-Charge, Sonarpur Police Station and the same is taken on record.

It appears from the report that the victim girl is voluntarily living peacefully with the alleged accused, namely Kamal Mondal, as his lawful wife at Hydrabad and other places.

In view of the above, this Court does not find any inaction on the part of the Sonarpur Police. This Court records appreciation for the prompt steps taken by the Sonarpur Police in taking up investigation in the matter and arriving at the most plausible conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
