In Re : Shilpi Pramanik (Roy) ..... petitioner Ms. Busra Khatoon ... for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mr. Anindya Sundar Chatterjee ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that she is in custody for 136 days. It is also submitted that the petitioner is not the principal accused.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show that the petitioner and her husband assaulted the septuagenarian lady who suffered fracture injuries.

Thereafter, she was set on fire and died.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
