Mr. Pratick Bose, learned advocate, who usually appears for the State, is requested to appear in this case.

Let the appointment of Mr. Bose be regularised. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the NDPS Special Case No. 15 of 2019 under Section 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985, pending before the learned Judge, Special Court under N.D.P.S. Act, Nadia at Krishnagar.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the case is at the evidence stage. Out of seven witnesses, two have been examined so far and the examination of the prosecution's witness no. 3 is going on.

In this pandemic situation, the delay in conducting the trial cannot be attributed to the learned Judge in the Court below. However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer, I dispose of this application with a direction upon the learned Judge in the Court below to make an endeavour to conclude the trial as early as

possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to the either of the parties.

Accordingly, CRR 2061 of 2021 is disposed of. All parties shall act upon the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
