An application filed by the petitioner seeking new electricity connection in a joint property is pending consideration at the end of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

It appears that the petitioner is already enjoying electricity from the meter standing in name of his deceased father. Electricity is being enjoyed by all the heirs of the deceased consumer from the said meter. The relationship in between the parties is acrimonious. None is agreeable to give a formal 'No Objection' for getting new connection.

As it appears that an application seeking new electricity service connection is pending consideration before the respondent authority, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Station Manager, Rajarhat CCC, respondent no. 4 herein to consider the said application in accordance with law and dispose of the same after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties at the
earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the application seeking new electricity connection to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of this Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
