The Sub-Divisional Officer, Seerampore has registered a complaint under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 that shall be disposed of in accordance with law.

Uttarpara Police Station has also registered a further FIR being Uttarpara Police Station Case No. 280 of 2022 dated 24th July, 2022 under Sections 448/341/323/325/506/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 22/23/25/32 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 against the private respondent nos.6, 7 and 8, namely, Sandip Saha, Aparna Aduri Saha and Biswajit Aduri. Investigation may proceed in accordance with law.

Uttarpara Police Station shall ensure that the petitioner is not harmed in any way and the private respondents undertake before this Court to take care of the petitioner, who is a senior citizen.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
