The petitioner is aggrieved regarding the fact that in respect of certain fixed deposits being encashed in a manner in which the petitioner alleges to have her signature being forged, no steps have been taken by the investigating agency inspite of such information being available with them at the time of registration of the FIR.

Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate,

appearing for the State, submits that so far as the case is concerned, the investigation of the case is still under progress and, on interrogation of the bank officers, nothing incriminating transpired to take steps, as such, the police authorities, till date, did not act and/or work on the representation which were made by the her.

Learned advocate for the State Bank of India is present and is willing to cooperate with the investigating agency.

Having considered that Shyampukur P.S. Case No. 06 of 2025 was registered on 01.02.2025 and, more than, 90 days have passed since the case was registered for investigation, I am of the view that under the provisions of the BNSS, a progress report should have been sent to the defacto-complainant, who has set the law into motion as it has been submitted that, till date, progress

report has not been sent to her Accordingly, I direct the State to immediately effect the same.

On receipt of the progress report, if the petitioner is dissatisfied and/or aggrieved, she will approach the jurisdictional court in seisin of the criminal case being Shyampukur P.S. Case No. 06 of 2025 and, thereafter, ventilate her grievance(s) by invoking appropriate provisions of law. The learned Magistrate would consider the same within a short span of time and, thereafter, pass necessary directions as he/she deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 15336 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
