Mr. Avishek Sinha Mr. S. S. Saha ... For the State Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 3 years. Most of the accused have been granted bail earlier. The petitioner seeks parity with them.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The improvised country made gun seized from the petitioner has matched with the bullet heads in the person of the deceased. The prosecution proposes to examine 19 witnesses out of whom 9 have been examined.

Considering the extent of involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The application for bail is disposed of.
