Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that he has been subjected to severe assault and injuries being inflicted upon him by an organized gang of people. To that effect, informations were furnished before the police authorities. Documents enclosed along with the writ petition reflects that Kharagpur (T) PS Case No.

311/25 was registered on 30.06.2025.

I have perused the sections under which the police authorities have registered the case as investigation of the case is in progress and the main grievance of the petitioner is that appropriate

sections have not been incorporated which may pave an escape route for the accused persons.

Having considered the summary of the accusations and counter-allegations which is reflected from the police report, I find that land is the subject matter of dispute. Consequently, police authorities would also within the scope of the investigation take within its ambit the issue relating to land grabbing and while submitting the final report keep its comment on the said issue.

The case has been registered on 30.06.2025. The petitioner would be served with the progress of the investigation after 90 days are over from the said date. In case the petitioner has grievance, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional Magistrate for ventilating his grievance even if the grievances are similar in nature. With the aforesaid observations WPA 15308 of 2025 is disposed of.
