Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner is in custody for about 106 days. Since the police submitted charge-sheet, further detention of the petitioner is not required. He points out that the petitioner also sustained injuries and was hospitalised. When the petitioner was released from the hospital, he was arrested.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the petitioner was fighting with another person when the deceased intervened in the fight between them. The petitioner along with the other person, however, assaulted the deceased, who succumbed the injuries inflicted on him.

Considering the materials in the case diary and considering the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected and the application being CRM 6661 of 2021 is disposed of. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Ananda Kumar Mukherjee, J.)
