The learned advocate for the electricity distribution company submits that the bills were raised as per meter reading and the petitioner had defaulted in payment on a number of occasions. The current dues are Rs.3,42,420/-.

The supply was disconnected on May 15, 2024.

Reconnection shall be given to the petitioner within 48 hours from payment of Rs. 1,15,000 and reconnection charges. Thereafter, the petitioner will continue to pay the current bills. With regard to the disputed bill, the petitioner shall approach the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer within two weeks from date.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. All payments and acceptance shall be without prejudice and will abide by the decision of the RGRO. In case of failure to pay current charges, the authority can proceed in accordance with law. All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
