Inadvertently in the order dated 21.08.2025 the year of the writ petition has been wrongly transcribed as 'WPA 15466 of 2024'. It should be read as 'WPA 15466 of 2025'.

In the earlier order dated 21.08.2025 the name of the Advocate appearing for the Union of India has been wrongly transcribed as 'Mr.

Kamalesh Dalal'. It should be 'Mr. Kumaresh Dalal'. Report submitted by FRRO, Kolkata reflects that the Bureau of Immigration (BOI)/FRRO has no role in issuance/extension/renewal of the French travel document No. 19ZX17065 of the petitioner. It has been categorically stated that for

issuance/extension/regularization of travel document the same rests with the country concerned, in this case France. Petitioner has been directed to contact France Embassy/Consulate for the same.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that an application would be forwarded to the France Embassy/Consulate. In case, the petitioner is faced with inconveniences petitioner would approach Basirhat Police Station who would ensure that the application of the petitioner is forwarded to the France Embassy/Consulate. It would be the discretion of the Embassy/Consulate to take their decision relating to the prayers made by the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 15466 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.
