Ms. Sonal Sinha Mr. Avishek Prasad ...for the contemner Mr. Anindya Lahiri Mr. Arkadipta Sengupta Ms. Aayushi Mukherjee Mr. Anish Chakraborty ...for the intervenor Perused the judgement passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in a civil appeal arising out of SLP (Civil) No.7071 of 2024 (Dr/ Ranbeer Bose & Anr. v. Anita Das & Anr.) wherein the court was pleased to grant liberty to the appellants to take steps in accordance with the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993.

The court in the aforesaid case took note of the inquiry report dated October 16, 2023 where there is mention that the construction made by the appellants has not been found to be in violation of the building plan and rather, it has been mentioned that the sanctioned plan to construct the building was granted in violation of rule 50 of the West Bengal Municipal Rules, 2007.

In view of the aforesaid judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, there is no requirement of proceeding with

the contempt application any further.

The contempt application is disposed of.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
