Learned advocate for the State has submitted a 01.07.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.35 Rakib report, prepared by the Inspector-in-Charge, Gangarampur Police Station which reflects that there were existing dispute between the present petitioners and the private respondents and the same was with regard to repairing work covering the front place of the land. The said land belongs to the Public Works Department. Having considered that the nature of the dispute complained of do not fall within the ambit and/or jurisdiction of police authorities to exercise their powers, police authorities have at the relevant point of time taken steps by drawing up proceedings being non-FIR PR. No. 436/2024 dated 20.05.2024.

As the police authorities have acted in accordance with law at the relevant point of time, further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, WPA 16440 of 2024 is disposed of. Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
