Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the petitioner Mr. Sankar Banerjee ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner seeks an electricity connection for operating his submersible pump set.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that the electricity connection shall be effected within a period of two months from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner complying with the requisite technical formalities.

In view of the above submission, I do not find any reason to keep the present writ petition pending. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon WBSEDCL to provide the electricity connection to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner completing the wiring of the meter room within a period of two weeks from the date hereof. Accordingly, WPA 15314 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
