Petitioner is aggrieved that his egress and ingress is being disturbed by the private respondent and to that effect, in spite of informing the police authorities no steps are being taken. On the other hand, learned advocate for the State submits that a common area is the subject matter of dispute. Having considered that the common pathway cannot be decided except by the BL&LRO, in case the police authorities are of the opinion that the genesis of such dispute is because of the common pathway, they would advise the parties to approach the concerned land authorities who would demarcate the same in accordance with the records available at their office. Police authorities will only restrict themselves as and when they find that there is a crisis of law and order and accordingly regulate

such situations so that the same is not blown out of proportion.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 16585 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.
