Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved that the complaint which was submitted on or about 12.06.2024 relating to the petitioner's car in custody of respondent authorities were not traced when an information was furnished.

Report reflects that the incident occurred on 08.06.2024 at about 11.00 hours, consequent to which, the local people became furious over the rash and negligent driving of the driver of the offending vehicle. Consequently, Illambazar P.S. Case No.137 of dated 23.06.2024 was registered for investigation and the police authorities were compelled to take steps which included amongst others seizure of the vehicle.

Be that as it may, since the police station case is pending before the jurisdictional court, it would be for the petitioner to take out an appropriate

application for return of the seized vehicle in connection with the aforesaid case under the relevant provisions of law.

In view of the directions passed, further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted. Accordingly, WPA 16459 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
