Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

By the present writ petition the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondents for sanction of the pension and other retiral benefits from the date following the date of retirement and direction be issued upon respondent no.5/Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance, Government of West Bengal to issue Pension Payment Order (PPO) and for disbursement of the pension and other retirement benefits.

The petitioner contends that he joined as Assistant Primary Teacher at Sridhar Natun Abaitanik Primary School under Pathar Pratima West Circle, South 24Parganas on 12th November, 1999. The petitioner

retired from his service on 31st July, 2015 from the post of Assistant Primary Teacher of Mallickpur Nimno Buniadi Vidyalaya. Since then the petitioner has not received pension and other retiral benefits. Hence, this writ petition.

Mr. Mrinal Kanti Sardar, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner seeks for specific direction upon the respondents, particularly respondent no.2/the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal to take appropriate steps for sanctioning of the pension and other retiral benefits.

Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the State respondents submits that the petitioner after seven years has furnished relevant documents and in the meantime, as per the G.O. No.62-SSE/17 dated 17th April, 2017 the State has initiated online module of e-pension portal. As such the petitioner is required to fulfil the details which is to be incorporated under heading "Retired of employee information" to be filled up in IOSM Portal. However, he submits that the writ petition be disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no.2 to take appropriate steps, in the event the petitioner fulfils all the necessary requisites. 6.

In view of submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, the writ petition being no. WPA 15446 of 2025 is disposed of directing the respondent no.2, Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal to take appropriate steps for filling up

details of "Retired of employee information" in pension portal, subject to fulfilment of necessary requisites by the petitioner for filling up such information. Upon fulfilment of such requirement, the respondent no.2, Commissioner of School Education shall take appropriate steps for sanctioning of pension and other retiral benefits as per entitlement of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of two months therefrom.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 8.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

There shall be no order as to costs.

10.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities.
