Petitioner has alleged that information was 20.03.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.54 Rakib furnished to Parnasree Police Station in relation to an illegal construction however, the said police station did not take any steps.

The decision to assess whether a construction is legal or illegal is vested with the Municipal Authorities and not with the police authorities. Petitioner would approach the appropriate municipal authorities bringing it to their notice regarding the illegal construction, if the municipal authorities are of the opinion that there is an illegal construction they would inform the police authorities who would assist them in taking their further action.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 16490 of 2024 is disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
