Petitioners are aggrieved that in spite of informing the police authorities regarding the act and action of the private respondents who along with certain antisocial were trying to encroach upon the petitioners' property and raise construction at mid night, but no steps were taken by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that a case was registered being Deganga P.S. Case No.584 of 2023 dated 10.11.2023. There was a dispute over the property and the accused persons in the criminal case on several occasions tried to directly or indirectly threaten the petitioners over such land dispute. Consequently at the relevant period of time, proceedings were drawn up under Section 107 of the Cr.P.C.

Having considered that substantial time has lapsed in the meantime, I am of the view that if the petitioners are faced with similar inconveniences, they will bring the same to the notice of Deganga P.S. who would act in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 16468 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
