Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the husband was enlarged on bail. The police filed charge sheet and, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required. The petitioner is the motherin-law of the de facto complainant. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the de facto complainant was attempted to be murdered. He refers to the medical examination report of the de facto complainant and the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code. In her statement recorded under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the de facto complainant states that her husband tried to strangulate her by tieing a rope around her neck. At that material point of time, the

petitioner was present and that she assisted her husband of holding her husband behind her back.

The medical report of the de facto complainant corroborates the attempt to murder. There is a ligature mark on the neck of the de facto complainant. The photographs available in the case diary corroborate the fact.

In view of the nature of the crime that the petitioner is apparently involved in, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 3461 of 2022 is dismissed.
