1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The husband of the petitioner expired on account of electrocution. The petitioner blames the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for negligence on their part for which electrocution took place. She seeks compensation.

3. A representation made by the petitioner is pending consideration at the end of the respondent authority.

4. Without entering into the merits of the same, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the competent authority of the WBSEDCL in the zone to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 1st November, 2023 in accordance with law, after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties and by passing a reasoned order to be communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

5. Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 1st

November, 2023 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of this Court.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
