The prayer for providing water connection made by the petitioner cannot be proceeded with as the petitioner is yet to submit his application through any registered plumber of the Howrah Municipal Corporation with relevant papers in his support. 2.

It appears that way back by a communication dated January 11, 2024, the petitioner was apprised of the requirement of submitting application through registered plumber of the Corporation with all relevant papers in his support like the deed, plan, mutation etc., but the same has not been done. The petitioner has approached this court all over again with a prayer to direct the Corporation to proceed with his application for water connection.

The petitioner ought to have understood that till a formal application for water connection is filed through the registered plumber with relevant documents, the Corporation will not be able to

proceed with the same.

The writ petition is disposed of with the observation that it will be open for the petitioner to make an application through the registered plumber of the Howrah Municipal Corporation with all relevant papers in support of his claim for getting water connection at the subject premises. 5.

In the event such application is made in the prescribed format with the relevant documents, the Corporation shall consider the same and act in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within eight weeks from the date of making such application.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
