Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of the GR Case No.6834 of 2018 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Howrah the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite party.

The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that charge was framed on 31st May, 2022 and out of 8 charge sheeted witnesses only one witness has been examined. The next date for evidence has been fixed on 6th November, 2024.

Considering the fact that the matter is pending for quite some time, the learned Trial Court is directed to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 18 months from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 2607 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
