Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the petitioner Mr. Kanak Kiran Bandyopadhyay ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner seeks an electricity connection for operating his submersible pump set.

Learned counsel appearing for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that the electricity connection could not be effected as the petitioner has not yet constructed the meter room or completed the boring work required for installation of the pump set. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, however, undertakes to construct the meter room and complete the boring work within a period of two weeks from the date of this order.

It is submitted that upon completion of such formalities, the petitioner shall intimate WBSEDCL in writing.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon WBSEDCL to provide electricity connection to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of completion of

the meter room and boring work, and subject to compliance of other formalities, if any.

Accordingly, WPA 15532 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
