The petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No. 115 of 2021 arising out of Suti Police Station Case No. 230 of 2021 dated 22.06.2021 which is pending before learned Special Court under NDPS cum Additional District Judge, 5th Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that charge was framed on 09.06.2022, but he has instructions that examination of prosecution witnesses is yet to be completed. Learned advocate specifies that two witnesses are left to be examined.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mr. Partha Pratim Das, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Having considered the fact that the trial is at an advance stage and the petitioner is in custody for more than 23 months, I direct that all efforts must be taken by the

learned trial court so that the verdict of the case can be pronounced by 31.12.2023.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2569 of 2022 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
