Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the investigation in relation to Hare Street Police Station Case No. 145/2023 dated 14.05.2023 has not been carried out in a proper mode and manner. State has submitted a report which reflects that the police authorities have collected documents, recorded statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and notices have been issued under the relevant provisions of law. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is being threatened at the behest of the private respondent. If such a complaint is received, the police authorities would take necessary action, but primarily the main duty of the police authorities at this stage would be to take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time after booking the offenders, if on conclusion of investigation the

names of offenders surface from the materials collected in connection with the instant case. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 16520 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
