The petitioners complain that the private respondent has under the garb of political patronage forcibly occupied their property. The petitioners also complain of inaction by the Sarsuna Police Station. Sarsuna Police Station has filed a report dated 28th February, 2023. The same is taken on record. It appears from the said report that the private respondent has obtained the land in question under a Gift Deed executed by Amal Krishna Roy, the husband of the petitioner no.1. The said Amal Krishna Roy is also the maternal uncle of the private respondent. This Court is of the view that the disputes between the petitioners and the private respondent, therefore, assume a civil character.

There is no inaction on the part of the Sarsuna Police Station. Sarsuna Police Station shall, however,

ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
